Navagraha Temples: the complete list
The Navagraha temples are nine shrines around Kumbakonam in the Kaveri delta, one for each celestial body of Hindu astrology — Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. Pilgrims traditionally complete the circuit over two to three days to remedy planetary doshas, usually basing themselves in Kumbakonam.
🏨 Planning the pilgrimage? Most travellers base themselves in Kumbakonam — compare hotels early, festival weekends sell out. For guided visits, browse tours & day trips.
