Suryanar Kovil
Suryanar Kovil is a Hindu temple dedicated to Surya (Sun), located in Suriyanar Koil, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. On the Navagraha circuit it is the shrine of Surya (Sun), one of the classic nine-planet pilgrimage circuit in the Kaveri delta around Kumbakonam.
The Sun temple of the Navagraha circuit is unusual in being a full temple dedicated to Surya, with the other eight planetary deities arranged around him — pilgrims traditionally begin the nine-temple circuit here.
