Thyagaraja Temple
Thyagaraja Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Tiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. It is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams — the Shiva temples glorified in the Tevaram hymns of the Nayanmar saints.
Tiruvottiyur's vast Thyagaraja temple in north Chennai is among the city's oldest and most important Shiva shrines, sung in the Tevaram and associated with the saint Pattinathar. Its festivals, especially the Adipuram, are major events in the city's ritual calendar.
